Drop a track. Mix two visuals. Record the result.
Drop a WAV or MP3 below.
19 visuals: fractals, geometry, organic, 3D. Mix two with a blend mode and trails.
The music drives colour, not shape. 12 meters show what it hears.
Shuffle (S) picks at random. Nudge (M) changes 2–3 settings.

Prometheus turns a track into visuals. It runs in the browser. Nothing uploads. Drop a WAV or MP3 and the audio drives a WebGL2 pipeline: 19 visuals, 12 audio meters, two layers mixed with one of 11 blend modes, plus feedback trails.
One rule: audio changes colour, never shape. Colour follows the music; shapes move on their own.
The Trails slider (0–100%) sets how much of the previous frame is mixed into the current one. High values give long trails.
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
Space | Play / pause |
S | Shuffle: random visuals, blend and trails |
M | Nudge: change 2–3 settings |
D | Auto-cycle presets (18 s each) |
C | Show / hide colour controls |
R | Start / stop recording |
F | Fullscreen (hides all UI except the canvas) |
Tab | Show / hide the control bar and meters |
Escape | Exit fullscreen |
1–9, 0 | Keys 1–0: first 10 visuals on Layer A |
` (backtick) | Show / hide the debug console |
Each visual has a different GPU cost. On a mid-range GPU (GTX 1070 class) at 1080p:
| Visual | Cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| IFS Sacred Geometry | Very light | 12 fold operations, distance glow. 200+ fps. |
| Kaleidoscope / Plasma | Light | Noise + trig. Under a millisecond. |
| Flower of Life / Grid Warp | Light | Simple SDF / UV math. |
| Voronoi Cells | Low-medium | 3×3 neighbour grid search. |
| Mandelbrot / Julia / Burning Ship | Medium | 128 iterations per pixel. About 10 fps at 4K. |
| Reaction-Diffusion | Medium | 9 texture reads per pixel + simulation. |
| Raymarched Spheres | Heavy | 64 march steps × 5 SDF evaluations. |
| Tunnel | Low-medium | UV transform + noise. Light for its look. |
Tip: when mixing two layers, pick a light visual (IFS, Kaleidoscope) for one and a heavier one (Mandelbrot, Raymarched) for the other. Two heavy visuals at 4K drop below 30 fps.
